The Shining Sword Attack is a physical technique in the Dragon Ball franchise. It makes its debut in "The Second Super Saiyan", the 332nd chapter of the Dragon Ball manga, issued on November 8, 1991. It makes its first animated appearance in "Another Super Saiyan?", the 120th episode of Dragon Ball Z, which premiered on December 11, 1991. The technique has since made appearances in several video games spun off by the series, such as the Budokai and Budokai Tenkaichi series, wherein the latter it is known as the Burning Slash.

- In the Budokai Tenkaichi series, the Burning Slash attack sequence is based on Future Trunks' fatal attack on Mecha-Frieza. Future Trunks comes down upon his opponent from above with several slashes, culminating in a powerful ki wave from his left hand. This is Future Trunks' ultimate attack in the games.
