Super Buu first uses this attack upon arriving where Goku teleported but the attack was countered by his and Vegeta's energy blasts. He uses this a second time to destroy the weakened Goku and Vegeta but stopped when they fused into Vegito. He uses this for the last time after he absorbed Vegito. The attack was cut short when Goku and Vegeta separated his "people pods" from his brain which resulted in a substantial loss of power.
Judging from the second and third times he used it, he probably had enough power to destroy the Earth if not the whole solar system which is probably an accurate measuring.
He created an more powerful version of this attack which was comparable in size to Frieza's Death Ball which had enough power to destroy the whole galaxy.
