The Hasshu-ken (Eight-Arm Fist; English "Blow of Eight Arms") is a physical technique in the Dragon Ball franchise. It makes its debut in "King Chappa", the 115th chapter of the Dragon Ball manga, issued on November 10, 1987. It makes its first animated appearance in "Final Match: Goku vs. Tien", the 97th episode of the Dragon Ball anime, which premiered on January 20, 1988.
The Hasshu-ken technique involves its user moving their arms fast enough that they seemingly have eight of them, allowing them to attack and defend their self much more efficiently. In its series debut the technique is first used by the would-be martial arts master King Chappa. In the Dragon Ball anime, Goku develops the Hasshu-ken in retaliation against the Four Witches Technique used by Tien Shinhan during the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament.
